Susan Gorrell (Producer / Republican)

Susan Gorrell has been in the music and film business for over 35 years, with the past 11 years as the Executive Director of the Julien Dubuque International Film Festival, an event that is highly revered and is considered one of the most significant film festival in Iowa and the Midwest.  

 

As an Indie Producer, Susan as worked on many short film projects, documentaries, feature films and a TV pilot.

 

Susan is married with 3 wonderful children and is a conservative Republican however, she is not one to discuss politics with others and definitely not comfortable in front of the camera.  This will be a huge adventure for her coming out of her “box” to travel with Dave, engage in conversations and participate in activities that she would not normal do.  Proof that friendship can be about personality, kindness, non-confrontational and not about what side of the political map are you on.

Dave Rosenberg (Director/Democrat)

Dave Rosenberg started his career as an actor in New York working in film and on stage with the likes of Ron Howard (“A Beautiful Mind”), Olympia Dukakis (“The Chekhov Cycle”)  and Austin Pendleton (“The America Clock”. 

 

Dave has expanded his artistic repertoire to include writing, directing, producing, stand-up comedy, teaching and anti-bullying Public Speaking (HPHP.PRO). Dave wrote, produced and starred in the award-winning feature film “The Reunion” (www.thereunionfilm.com) and the hilarious web series “isms” (www.youtube.com/@isms81).  

 

“Bridging the Gap” is Dave’s film directorial debut. He is a longtime democrat and fighter for the underdog. Saddened by the anger, fear and discontent in the country, Dave’s mission is to help bring people together and work towards solutions.
